IAR Buys Signum

IAR Systems, a leading supplier of embedded compilers, has acquired Signum Systems, a supplier of hardware and software development tools for embedded systems.
With this acquisition, IAR Systems complements its product offering with a broad series of high quality JTAG emulators, in-circuit emulators and debuggers. As a result, IAR Systems will have one of the market´s broadest offerings of development tools for the embedded industry.
IAR Systems is a very popular supplier of quality 8-, 16-, and 32-bit C and C++ Compilers for microcontrollers and microprocessors.
Signum Systems is a supplier of In-Circuit Emulators, Debuggers and JTAG Interfaces for Microcontrollers, Microprocessors and Digital Signal Processors. Signum's JTAGjet emulators are compatible with the Mentor Graphics Sourcery CodeBench.
With this acquisition, IAR expands both the code development options they can offer Engineers and also expands the quality of support that they can offer embedded developers.
