Cygnal Introduces 8051 Microcontroller with Dual 1MSPS 16-bit ADCs
Apr 21, 2003 - 4:29:00 PM

April 21, 2003 - AUSTIN, TX - Cygnal Integrated Products, Inc. today announced the C8051F060, a mixed-signal flash microcontroller with two ultra-low power 16-bit one million samples per second (1MSPS) A/D converters. These successive-approximation (SAR) ADCs are accurate to one least significant bit integral non-linearity (INL), and have 89dB SINAD. Consuming only 20mW per ADC, these are the lowest power ADCs available at comparable performance levels. The C8051F060 is perfect for a variety of analog intensive embedded applications, including weight scales, industrial and medical measurement, and smart sensors.
"The C8051F060 represents a new standard in mixed-signal integration in microcontrollers", said Douglas Holberg, Chief Technical Officer for Cygnal. "A microcontroller with integrated ADCs having this level of performance is simply unparalleled in the industry".
